Daley + Jalboot Architects is a full-service, Philadelphia based architectural design firm with a specialization in educational, religious, commercial, residential, and museum design. It is our standard practice to provide complete services from the earliest planning and budgeting stages, through design, bidding/negotiation, construction administration, and post-occupancy follow up. In addition to these services, we offer the following need-specific services either in conjunction with a project design or as otherwise serves the client.
Facilities & Infrastructure Assessment
In this difficult economy, maintaining your existing investment in facilities is crucial. D+JA will work closely with the client to analyze your site, circulation, buildings and utilities. We will also review your facilities in terms of code compliance. Based on your program and needs along with our findings, we will develop a prioritized long-range plan to effect repairs and provide improvements, including estimated costs for each component. This Facilities Assessment can be a living document to keep the client continually informed regarding their needs in a manner that can avoid costly crises.
Space Needs Assessment & Reallocation
D+JA will analyze your facility and programs to identify ways to improve efficiency and recapture valuable space that may be otherwise underutilized. Working closely with administration and staff, D+JA meets with user groups to understand both space and program needs. This information is synthesized both graphically and in writing, and used as the basis for designs to reallocate and/or reconfigure the existing space. The results of this process not only improve the efficiency within and between departments, but can frequently uncover ways to free up existing space without costly additions.
Studies & Master Planning
Daley + Jalboot Architects has many years of experience with both new and long-term clients developing a variety of Studies and Master Plans. Though typically the first step in larger scale design, D+JA has frequently provided these services to clients as a stand-alone, long-range planning tool. The Master Plan is typically composed of three elements, including an Infrastructure Analysis to assess existing conditions of the building site and systems, a Space Needs Assessment to address facility use and current and future needs, and a preliminary Schematic Design that brings the first two items together in graphic form. The Schematic Design is often used as the basis for planned growth, phased implementation, and cost estimates.
Interior Design/FF&E Installation Coordination
As part of full turn-key design services, D+JA can provide for all of your interior design needs, including planning and specifying of FF&E and installation coordination. We provide material and color palate options for client consideration. Full furnishing layouts to facilitate planning, purchase and installation, integrated with the architecture, may also be provided by our firm. Extensive experience allows us to provide you confidence in both the quality and value of each selection.
LEED Certification Process
The D+JA team has experience in the design and implementation of LEED® projects with certifications from Silver through Platinum. Our team of LEED AP architects can guide your project through the complicated GBCI application and approval process. With energy costs continually rising, a sustainable and efficient building is an increasingly important component of good design.
Expert Witness & Dispute Resolution
The partners at D+JA are experienced Expert Witnesses and have been involved with Dispute Resolution for matters related to planning, design and construction. Our services include review of documents, site, buildings, systems, materials, and schedules. We can also provide review and analysis of case information, including correspondence, construction methodology and their relationship to the dispute at hand.
